Public beach access is conveniently located at Deer Lake State Park, which is just 5 miles away or Grayton Beach State Park, which is just 11 miles away and consistently ranks among the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the United States.
The Emerald Coast offers 24 miles of pristine white-sand beaches stretching along the Gulf of Mexico. This sand is made up of pure Appalachian quartz and reflects the sunlight through the surf, giving the water the beautiful emerald-green color. Once you visit, you see why this area of Florida has earned the name Emerald Coast.
WaterSound Beach Club
WaterSound homeowners are invited to join the WaterSound Beach Club, which is just 5 miles away. WaterSound Beach Club offers dramatic views of the Gulf, a free-form zero-entry pool, shaded arbors, secluded cabanas, ladies' and men's locker rooms with shower facilities and changing areas. A full-service restaurant that rivals any along 30-A. Enjoy indoor and outdoor terrace dining and an open-air full-service bar. Perfect your tennis game on two private Har-Tru Hydro-Courts. Boating & Fishing
If boating and fishing are your passion—this region offers some of the best! The beautiful Gulf of Mexico, the area's 17 freshwater and saltwater lakes, Choctawhatchee Bay, West Bay and St. Andrews Bay provide unmatched opportunities for fishing and water sports in Florida. Located just 23 miles east of WaterSound, Bay Point Marina in Panama City Beach offers fishing, boating, jet skiing, swimming, sailing, snorkeling and off-shore charter boats.
Shopping
WaterColor's Town Center offers a wide variety of locally-owned shops where you can purchase men's, women's and children's clothing, as well as accessories, art and gifts, reserve a fishing charter, create a custom teddy bear, relish a cup of coffee as the sun comes up, or enjoy a meal and glass of wine under the stars.
Heading east 11 miles is Pier Park, a premier shopping and dining destination. Silver Sands, the nation's largest designer outlet center with over 100 designer name stores is just 23 miles to the west toward Destin.
Golf
The Origins Golf Club, which is within the WaterSound community, makes golf more fun and accessible to families, beginners and casual golfers, offering a six-hole regulation course that alternatively plays as a nine-hole executive course and a 10-hole par-three layout.
Looking for challenging and outstanding golf courses? Named "Course of the Millennium" by Travel + Leisure magazine, Camp Creek Golf Club, is a Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole, par-72 championship course measuring 7,159 yards and is sure to provide the challenge for which you're looking.
Biking
The state parks and Point Washington State Forest’s Eastern Lake Bike Trail offer great scenery. If you prefer a paved path, you can enjoy the picturesque journey on the Timpoochee Trail running for 18.6 miles along Scenic 30-A.
Lake Powell

Back Country
